Kimberly King
Kim is an award-winning Reporter and Meteorologist for Fox 59. She has covered stories from the ousting of legendary IU Men's Basketball Coach Bobby Knight to the 9-11 World Trade Center attacks in New York. One of the most chilling stories Kim reported on was the murder of Betty and Lee Bradley. Police found the elderly couple dismembered and buried under freshly laid cement in the basement of their eastside home in 2005.
This year, Kim was honored with one of journalism's most prestigious awards, an Edward R. Murrow, for her continuous coverage investigating the mysterious disappearance of IU student Jill Behrman. Because of her knowledge of the long-unsolved case, lawyers placed Kim on their witness lists leading up to the murder trial. Kim is an Emmy nominated and Emmy award-winning reporter. She's been honored numerous times by the Society of Professional Journalists for her consumer, social justice, and hard news reporting. This year Kim received an Associated Press award for her piece on Ku Klux Klan membership cards.
Kim has earned her accreditation seal from the National Weather Assocation and completed meteorology degree coursework with MSU. Kim grew up in New York City. A Thoroughbred enthusiast and lifetime rider, Kim helped open the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation's first prison farm for retiring racehorses in Indiana.
