Kara Brooks
Kara joined the FOX 59 News Team in March 2005. Kara comes to FOX 59 from WPSD in Paducah, Kentucky where she anchored the weekend evening news. She was also the Education and General Assignment Reporter for the station. Kara's career began in Michigan's cold Upper Peninsula at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan. In Michigan, she wore many hats. Kara produced, reported, edited, and shot her own news stories.
Kara is not only happy to return to her hometown, but also to the same station where she performed her internship. Kara is glad to be back in Indianapolis where she graduated from Pike High School and Indiana University in Bloomington.
Kara has earned several Kentucky Associated Press Awards. She also won a fellowship to the Casey Journalism Center for Children and Families. Paducah's Business and Professional Women named Kara, Kentucky's Young Careerist in 2003.
